Wood is currently recruiting for a Materials and Corrosion Engineer to join our team in Staines. We recognise the value of remote working so are open to applications throughout the UK and can offer flexible hybrid working
The successful candidate will be required to interface with oil and gas operators and Tier 1 engineering contractors, Renewables, Hydrogen transportation systems, carbon capture in support of greenfield and brownfield engineering projects

- Assist in the development and implementation of materials and corrosion engineering solutions across various projects
- Conduct research and analysis to support the design and maintenance of systems in oil and gas, renewables, hydrogen, and carbon capture
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the integrity and reliability of materials used in our projects
- Participate in field inspections, data collection, and reporting to identify and mitigate corrosion risks
- Contribute to the development of innovative solutions to enhance the sustainability and efficiency of our operations

QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a relevant engineering degree program (e.g., Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- A keen interest in materials and corrosion engineering and a desire to learn and grow in this field
