Wood is currently looking to recruit a PMC AWP Construction Planning Lead to work on ADNOC project based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Initially you will be based in the office with a possibility of fabyard and offshore assignment (as and when required by the client).

Job purpose & Scope:

Leads fabrication, construction and pre-commissioning and commissioning planning activities.

Oversees Advanced Work Packaging program and develops Path of Construction (PoC

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee preparation of CWP, EWP, PWP and IWP's and develop KPI's for overseeing the Advanced Work Packaging program.
  • Ensure E&P deliverables are meeting ROS dates for fabrication and construction.
  • Links AWP program with sub-system pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
  • Monitor Construction schedule and ensure workfront availability.
  • Coordinate contractors schedule, validate actual physical progress on site using, update forecast to complete construction activities end date.
  • Anticipate any potential slippage and critical path deviations, propose and discuss mitigation and corrective actions with Project Control Team and Construction Manager.
  • Prepare construction progress reports according to the project reporting procedure.
  • Evaluate allocation of resources and provide recommendations to maintain required progress.
  • Develop and implement plan versus actual progress charts (histograms/S curves). Reports and analyses deviations from plan.
  • Track, monitor and forecast progress of all activities and deliverable such as fabrication and construction status for all scopes of work.
  • Analyze gaps between the planned and actual progress and highlight the areas of concern which required action of the associate task member.

Expected:
  • University Engineering Degree
  • Minimum 15 years experience of construction planning in the oil & gas industry including Owner & PMC experience.
  • Experience successfully implementing AWP on other large capital projects. Knowledgeable about AWP software and plans
  • Experience in large offshore capital projects
  • Proficient in the use of Primavera P-6.
  • Computer literate in Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Experience with Project Scheduling including Critical Path Methodology, Productivity Tracking and Earned Value required.
  • Good analytical, verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report, and present findings
  • Good interpersonal skills and strong communication skills, both written and oral.
