Your role and responsibilities

The HSE (Health Safety & Environmental) Supervisor is primarily responsible to lead the safety team and provide support to the HSE Manager to instill a safety sensitive culture and for ensuring compliance with applicable government regulations and company policies. You will also play a crucial role in implementing different safety and ergonomic programs at our Fort Smith, AR facility. The work model for the role is: Onsite. #LI-Onsite You will be mainly accountable for: • Supervise and lead the safety team in supporting and driving behavioral change through the local implementation of site wide, facility health, safety, environmental and ergonomic initiatives. • Collaborate with safety manager, engineers, technicians, and managers to institute control and corrective measures for hazardous and potentially hazardous conditions of equipment. • Reporting HSE incidents to the management and relevant stakeholders and taking appropriate actions while conducting work-site analysis and safety audits to identify hazards and deviations from acceptable practices of requirements and oversees the Safety corrective action process. • Monitor all injuries/illnesses and Workers Compensation Claims and return to work program in turn, facilitating, assisting, and providing guidance on incident investigations to learn better ways for mitigating risks. • Periodically audits practices and records of facility operations to ensure compliance with company programs and Federal / State / Country / occupational safety and health regulations.

Qualifications for the role

• High School Diploma / GED with minim 8 years experience OR Associates Degree with minimum 6 years experience OR Bachelor's Degree with minimum 4 years experience in safety and or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge in OSHA, EPA & ADEQ Regulations (U.S. Federal and applicable State)
• Understanding of Workers Compensation, Return-to-Work Programs and electrical safety (in-cluding NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA, etc.).
• Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and SAP (preferred).
• Ability to build relationships, speak/present to effectively in interpersonal situations and be-fore groups of employees comprised of various levels of personnel, from senior executives to facility personnel.
• Preferred Qualifications Include: 3+ years HSE leadership experience and OSHA Authorized 30 Hour Instructor, EMT Certification, First Responder Certification, ASP or CSP designations.
• Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
