Your role and responsibilities

We are looking for a passionate and experienced 3D Perception & Navigation Team Lead to join our technical leadership team. In this key role, you will manage and inspire a cross-functional engineering team, driving the development and deployment of our core technology and products. The ideal candidate has a strong background in robotics, computer vision, or navigation technologies, with proven experience in team leadership, technical mentoring, and organizational growth. The work model for the role is hybrid. #LI-Hybrid This role is contributing to the Sevensense Robotics Division in Zürich. You will be mainly accountable for: • Managing and mentoring a cross-functional team of 4+ experts in areas of computer vision, 3D perception, scene understanding, path planning, control, and software development. • Overseeing major development projects, ensuring effective coordination with other team leads, technical project managers, and product managers. • Contributing hands-on to technical development, including C++ coding, Python tooling, and real-world testing on robotic platforms to validate system performance. Maintaining a holistic understanding of our software stack, covering 3D perception, planning, and control modules. • Create a positive, growth-oriented team culture, supporting team members achieving their long-term development goals.

Qualifications for the role

• Master's degree or equivalent in robotics, computer vision, computer science, or a related technical field.
• Proven leadership experience in team management and coaching, with a focus on building high-performing, motivated teams.
• Strong communication skills, capable of navigating complex technical discussions and aligning with key stakeholders.
• 3+ years of professional experience in computer vision, 3D perception, deep learning for 3D vision, and/or mobile robot navigation, with proficiency in C++ and Python.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities and system architecture design, ensuring scalable and robust solutions.
• Project management experience, with skills in planning, executing, and monitoring technical projects effectively.
• Fluency in English.
