- Provide technical support - Focused on control and electrical systems for NOV equipment.
- Assist field service personnel - Conduct troubleshooting and testing of equipment in the field.
- Deliver improvement recommendations - Work with Engineering to propose enhancements based on field data.
- Implement system upgrades - Diagnose faults and carry out required upgrades.
- Collaborate on parts and service needs - Identify necessary components for troubleshooting and planned maintenance.
- Communicate with engineering - Translate customer feedback into actionable engineering insights.
- Travel readiness - Some travel may be required.
Essential Qualifications:
- Technical education or equivalent experience in software or electrical disciplines - ensures foundational expertise.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in technical support, field service, or similar - demonstrates proven ability in support roles.
Proficiency in Siemens control systems (PLC) - required for effective troubleshooting and system management. - Good IT skills - necessary for data handling and digital tool usage.
- Fluency in Norwegian and English, written and verbal - essential for effective communication across teams and with clients.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in digital support solutions - beneficial for optimizing new digital initiatives.
- Background in heavy equipment or offshore industry - valuable for faster adaptation and broader understanding.
