Project Manager - Utilities Sector (Outside IR35)

A leading utilities company in the North West of England is seeking an experienced Project Manager for a 6-month contract role. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional with expertise in the UK Energy Industry, particularly in Half Hourly Settlements.

Key Details:

• On-site presence required 3 days per week (Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays)
• Remote work available for the remaining 2 days

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage projects related to Half Hourly Settlement implementation
• Ensure timely and successful delivery of project milestones
• Coordinate workshops with internal teams and external stakeholders (including various industry bodies and vendors)
• Manage project budgets and resources effectively
• Identify and mitigate project risks
• Provide regular progress reports to senior management

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Project Manager in the UK Energy Industry
• In-depth knowledge of Half Hourly Settlements and related regulatory changes
• Strong understanding of the utilities sector and energy market dynamics
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment
• Experience working as part of a large transformation programme

Desired Qualifications:

• Relevant project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2)
