A leading utilities company in the North West of England is seeking an experienced Project Manager for a 6-month contract role. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional with expertise in the UK Energy Industry, particularly in Half Hourly Settlements.
Key Details:
- On-site presence required 3 days per week (Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays)
- Remote work available for the remaining 2 days
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage projects related to Half Hourly Settlement implementation
- Ensure timely and successful delivery of project milestones
- Coordinate workshops with internal teams and external stakeholders (including various industry bodies and vendors)
- Manage project budgets and resources effectively
- Identify and mitigate project risks
- Provide regular progress reports to senior management
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in the UK Energy Industry
- In-depth knowledge of Half Hourly Settlements and related regulatory changes
- Strong understanding of the utilities sector and energy market dynamics
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment
- Experience working as part of a large transformation programme
Desired Qualifications:
- Relevant project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2)
