The Power Systems Electrical Engineer will be responsible for supporting the Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) In Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) for power systems on US Navy Surface and Submarines.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $126,100.00 - $227,950.00

The Power Systems Electrical Engineer will be responsible for supporting the Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) In Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) for power systems on US Navy Surface and Submarines.
Primary Responsibilities
- Systems Engineering by working in an interdisciplinary environment on multiple programs with an emphasis on electric power generation and distribution systems.
- Engineering support such as special studies, development and analysis of engineering designs and procedures to support power generation and distribution systems. Tasks shall include research, development, and engineering of initial/prototype design, development and review, design changes, review and updates to drawings and procedures, risk analysis, root cause analysis of problems including operational hazards, deficiency reports, parts obsolescence evaluation and reliability degradation.
- Provide support for test and evaluation of networked computerized control systems as well as software programming.
- Develop test plans, test reports, commissioning procedures, engineering drawings, and engineering studies and analyses. Support program and system level design reviews.
- Perform quality assurance reviews of products such as analyses, calculations, reports, and drawings.
- Assist with the development of Technical Data Packages in relation to the planning and execution of shipboard repairs, alterations and modernization. Duties include the creation of Functional Block Diagrams, Wiring Tables, Equipment and System Specifications, One Line Diagrams, Engineering Design Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, Risk Analysis, Engineering Drawings and Interface Design Documents
- Engineering design support, design studies and analysis in the development, and operations and maintenance of land based test site training facilities and laboratories. testing and fleet technical support validation efforts.
Basic Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship and Secret Security Clearance (or ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance)
- B.S. Degree or Higher in Electrical Engineering
- 12+ years of experience working power systems for U.S. Navy ship designs
- Ability to work independently, in person and remotely, and as a member of an interdisciplinary team
- Excellent MS Office skills, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Ability to travel up to 10% of time
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with US Navy Power Generation and Distribution Systems
- Proficient using computer software to produce engineering drawings, calculations, spreadsheets and technical reports.
