Purpose

Financial and Operational Dimensions/Impact and Decision-making Authority Positions reporting to this position: Assignees from other MODEC Group O&M entities, within the ambit / scope of the O&M deliverables that are required for the specific project/proposal assignment Working Relationships: Works with Project Manager, Proposal Manager, Contract Manager, Commercial Manager, legal counsel and subject matter experts for each relevant subject in global Modec entities;
Requirements
- This position will evaluate and assure that the interests of the O&M business units during the development phases of prospective projects are fully evaluated and incorporated into project contracts and commercial values.
- The position will be responsible for contributing to the operational strategy and structure for the O&M business unit(s) in conjunction with the Development Manager and in line with the receiving Business Unit policies and standards. It will ensure that the contractual and commercial aspects are thoroughly assessed, evaluated, explained and responded to within each proposal or project.
- This position will lead and execute the contractual and commercial scope related to Operations, as well as providing inputs to support the technical scope.
Responsibilities
Group Fleet Operation
- Promote O&M business and brand awareness across all working locations;
- Represent O&M business unite at Proposal Office location contractual / commercial meetings;
- Identify and promote unified & harmonized contractual / commercial practices across global fleet;
- Review current operation and maintenance contracts within the global fleet and identify strategic suggestions for improvement.
Proposals (Concept Studies, Concept Select, Pre-FEED)
- Review client contract documents and coordinate to let the documents be reviewed by all the relevant stack holders and evaluate them and develop the best strategic approaches for having the best contracts
- Review client commercial requirement and coordinate to let the stack holders evaluate and work on building costs and price and develop the best strategic approaches
- Establish and lead the OM contractual & commercial discussion and conclusion with all the relevant stack holders for the project development
- Act as O&M business unit representative in contractual & commercial discussions with clients and potential customers;
- Interface with in-house stakeholders to have endorsement on key decisions
- Evaluate or hire and let the 3rd party experts analyze the risks potentially embedded in the operation of the project in such specific location/nation, and develop/coordinate to develop the best strategy and contractual& commercial implementation to mitigate and manage such identified risks.
- Bring ideas for new contractual / commercial development "enabling" future business or "enhancing" project value;
- Represent O&M into contractual / commercial maturation/qualification process, throughout all phases, making the connections with O&M business units;
- Input to the overall transition plans between phases. Lead contractual and commercial planning work to secure a seamless transition
- Handover all relevant information to incoming execution teams. Plan and prepare handover sessions where needed, using standardized handover structures
- Provide on-demand support for pre-operation processes, and support execution teams until determined and agreed between phase managers

Has a duty of care to ensure that all personnel work in a manner that is not harmful to their own health and safety and the health and safety of others.
- Compliance: Complies with the MODEC Group Policy Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and expected training at all times.
Financial and Operational Dimensions/Impact and Decision-making Authority
- Review Corporate O&M related documentation and collect/give feedbacks as Operations Representative for Company Standards as required;
- Subject Matter Expert for Operations Readiness and Operations;

Requirements
- Tertiary Qualification in a Commercial, Finance or Business Management or other business field
- 5 years hydrocarbon processing / marine / offshore-related experience,
- Exposure to floating production desirable
- Experience with company commercial processes, financing and Joint Venture Partner management
- Experience and competency in working in international locations, comprising a mixture of cultures and languages
- Experience working in shipyard / construction sites and project offices. Offshore work experience highly desirable
