Role Synopsis
Reporting to Measurement Lead Technician, the Measurement Technician has an important and integral role in the safe and optimised operation of the Khazzan/ Ghazzer field.
This professional is crucial in ensuring that the facility Systems operates safely and efficiently, maintaining optimal performance of the measurements equipment's within the overall uncertainty budgets and minimizing safety, financial, commercial risks.
The role presents a rare opportunity to be part of an established, existing and successful operating centre, which aspires to the highest operating standards, comparable with the best of BP facilities worldwide.
The role will be based at the Block61 onshore gas processing facility.
Key Accountabilities:
Essential Education
Minimum Diploma, NVQ3, City and Guilds or equivalent qualification in a suitable measurement or Instrument and control discipline

Role Synopsis

The role will be based at the Block61 onshore gas processing facility.
Key Accountabilities:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex measurement system issues.
- Participate in installation, testing, commissioning, operation and maintenance of fiscal and allocation meters, metering systems and Analysers systems.
- Good understanding of different types, applications metering and Analysers equipment's functionality and coordinate with vendors.
- Analyse and identify opportunities for system optimization and implement improvements within safety and operational guidelines.
- Maintain comprehensive understanding of automation systems.
- Maintain clear and concise communication with team members, operations, engineering, and other technical teams.
- Collaborate effectively to identify and implement solutions for optimizing measurement and analysis processes.
- Coordinate with planning/scheduling for 6WK and 2WK working plans and schedules.
- Coordinate for the safe transportation of field and test equipment to/from the work site and calibration laboratories. Including assurance that equipment is in-date, fit for purpose and available
Essential Education
Minimum Diploma, NVQ3, City and Guilds or equivalent qualification in a suitable measurement or Instrument and control discipline
Essential Experience and Job Requirements
- At least 7 years' experience in a measurement role with an operating asset.
- Full CompEx accreditation.
- Experience in Isolation and reinstatement of metering equipment.
- Experience in a maintenance role with an operating asset.
- Experience of a gas, oil or petrochemical processing plant.
- Experience in working as part of a multi-disciplined maintenance team.
- Experience with control of work processes, safety regulations, and HSSE best practices (e.g. Control of Work, Permit, Risk assessment, etc.).
- Demonstrated commitment to coaching and training team members in a diverse environment.
- Open and flexible work attitude with a strong focus on teamwork.
- Experience and knowledge with flow measurement technologies (Fiscal "Gas and Liquid", Class 1, Class 2, Allocation, Environmental).
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience and knowledge in liquid fiscal measurement recertification of master meter and factory calibration of the fiscal gas meter.
- Experience and knowledge in liquid fiscal measurement calibration and recertification of the primary measurement instrumentation.
- Experience and knowledge with various flow computing (FloBoss, Krohne, and other specific vendor flow computers).
- Experience and knowledge in environmental monitoring system (CEMS, PEMS and AAQMS).
- Experience and knowledge in Well head measurement (MPFM, Wet gas measurement)
- Experience and knowledge in flare meters
- Experience and knowledge in analysers used for fiscal measurement and for process monitoring like dew point analysers, GC, H2S analysers, Moisture analysers, O2 analysers
- Experience of developing equipment specific maintenance plans.
- Experience of condition-based monitoring techniques.
- Experience of coaching and developing staff within competency management framework.
- Experience in maintenance planning and scheduling tools
- Experience in site fiscal measurements audits and partners witness for as per the agreement's requirements.
- Experience in KELTON Meter Manager software /package (or a similar package) will be an advantage.
