Develop innovative algorithms in support of clean energy and power grid modernization.

We are looking for interns to work with us to design, implement and test advanced algorithms to convert sensor data into insights for our Health of Planet programs. Health of Planet refers to one of the focus areas of our group - developing technology in support of clean energy and power grid modernization.

What You'll Do:

The internship activities will depend on the type of internship and your background, but will include a subset of the following:

- Innovate: Create novel algorithms specialized for applications relevant to Analog Devices.

- Develop: Develop software simulations and analyze the performance of algorithms.

- Analyze: Model and simulate systems, implement and verify algorithms on real data and hardware.

- Collaborate: Work alongside a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers.

- Communicate: Document and present your research.

Qualifications:

Candidates must be pursuing a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics or a related field. Only candidates graduating in 2025 or 2026 will be considered, with the possibility of a return offer upon completion of the internship. Candidates should have experience in one or more of the following areas: signal processing; machine learning and artificial intelligence; graph, network and distributed algorithms; circuit modeling and numerical simulation; power networks and DERMS; software engineering; optimization; and statistical modeling and simulation.

The Analog Garage:

Located in the heart of downtown Boston, the Analog Garage is ADI's Research and Advanced Development Center, empowering the company by pioneering breakthrough technologies. The Algorithmic Solutions Group within the Analog Garage researches and develops cutting-edge, efficient algorithms to convert data into intelligence that addresses society's most pressing challenges. The team's expertise spans fields such as signal processing, machine learning, artificial intelligence, computer vision, computational linguistics, communication systems, and other areas of electrical engineering and computer science.

For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
