About the HVAC Group
The HVAC Group is comprised of an Operations Manager, Project Managers, Asst. Project Managers, Project Administrators, a Field Labor Superintendent, Shop Fabrication Manager, HVAC Coordination Manager, Coordinators, shop and field labor and Co-op/interns. They manage, oversee and coordinate all aspects of HVAC contract execution from preconstruction to prefabrication and field installation through final system start-up, commissioning, and project close-out.
From start to finish, our goal is to ensure all aspects of project execution exceed the expectations of all stakeholders, leaving the owner with an efficient and functioning HVAC system which is easily maintained.

We are excited to offer a dynamic Co-op opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic HVAC Project Assistant to join our HVAC team for the Summer 2025 semester! This role will provide valuable hands-on experience and exposure to various aspects of what we do! As a Co-op, you will assist project managers by carrying out tasks at project sites, reviewing CAD drawings, working with Project Foreman/Superintendents to track the installation processes, as well as assisting with required documentation involved with the projects, such as submittals, subcontracts, permits, purchase orders and close-out documentation.

Physical Requirements
Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (Occasionally: activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently (Frequently: activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.

- Walk Active Job Sites to Build Progress Reports
- Review Submittal for Project Compliance
- Data Entry (Equipment, Project progress, Valve tags)
- Build Equipment Tracking Matrixes
- Generate RFI's
- Perform piping take-offs for project change orders
- Build Estimates
- Basic Scheduling
- Collaborate in small groups or as a part of a larger project team
A successful candidate will have:
- This program is open to current undergraduates enrolled in a degree program in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of plumbing systems and construction practices.
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
- Detailed-oriented and organized.
- Demonstrated time management skills.
- Ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to collaborate in small groups or as a part of a larger project team.
- Committed to continuous improvement and innovation
- Ability to read detailed plans and blueprints
- Ability to work with business related metrics
- Demonstrated high-level problem-solving skills
- Experience or working knowledge of AutoCAD and Navisworks
