Our client is currently seeking a Safety Engineer with project experience to join their team in The Hague, Netherlands.
Role Overview
- Providing technical advise, manage and prepare safety engineering activities and deliverables on mid-large projects.
- Collaborate with project management and other disciplines to ensure project success.
- Implement the latest technology and methods to improve efficiency, accuracy, and productivity for the department.
- Understand project business case and reflect this in the work environment, including productivity, schedule, work hour control, and innovation.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
- Conduct hazard identification studies, such as HAZOPS, and develop safety strategies.
- Perform consequence modeling and dispersion modeling for process safety deliverables.
- Provide technical expertise in areas such as hazardous area classification and human factor engineering.
- Take ownership of project scope, budget, and schedule.
- Work independently and report to Lead Engineer.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering.
- Relevant experience in Safety Engineering role.
- Experience in FEED or Detailed Design project phases.
- Strong team player within the Safety Engineering team and with other departments.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills (both verbal and written).
- Technical expertise in process safety deliverables, such as hazardous area classification, consequence modeling, and dispersion modeling.
