Join Honeywell as an Analytical Chemist who will lead new method development in a research environment. You will develop and guide method development for a variety of instrumentation including GPC, TGA, DSC, and other laboratory techniques. You will conduct research on identifying impurities and assay on a variety of analytes from small molecules to polymers. You will work with chemists and engineers from research to production phase to ensure product quality. You will be required to work closely with internal and external customers to meet deadlines. Follow all relevant safety and environmental rules and regulations.
You will report directly to our R&D Manager and you'll work onsite out of our Buffalo, NY location.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop methods to identify and characterize new molecules, mixtures, and polymers.
• Write documentation for methods developed and transition methods from a small scale to a production environment.
• Work with customers to meet needs in a fast-paced environment
• Work on a variety of projects across multiple disciplines simultaneously

COMPENSATION
The annual base salary range for this position is $73,000 - $96,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have asylum or refugee status in the U.S.
In October, 2024 Honeywell announced the spin-off of our Advanced Materials business to become a stand-alone publicly traded company, independent of Honeywell. Our intention is that this role, dedicated to the Advanced Materials business, will be a part of this future transaction when the separation occurs.
YOU MUST HAVE
• Master's degree in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering
• 3+ years of experience or a PhD in Chemistry
• Work in a research environment
• Experience in trace and bulk analysis

• Excellent written communication including writing SOPs
• Experience with cGMP, GLP or other regulatory compliance
• Experience working within large groups of engineers and scientists
