We havean opportunity for a Senior Application Support Specialist. As a Senior Application Support Specialist hereat Honeywell, you will play a critical role in the implementation of complex applicationsand solutions that drive innovation, safety, and efficiency across variousindustries. You will work within cross-functional teams on cutting-edgeprojects that transform the way businesses operate.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for variety of software applications in implementation phase.
- Manage software installations, deployments, configurations, UAT and updates.
- Participate in Implementation and installation of software applications at virtualized environments.
- Demonstrate significant understanding of the solution architecture of the entire solution.
- Perform testing to diagnose software functional failures, identifying root causes and corrective actions.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues, log defects, and provide detailed reports.
- Provide technical support to end-users and clients, troubleshooting and resolving software applications related issues.
- Work with cross-functional teams, including offshore developers, IT administrators to address and resolve software application issues.
- Identify and escalate recurring technical issues to the appropriate teams for further investigation and resolution.
- Ensure overall functional quality of released applications across required platforms and mechanisms.
- Respond to support tickets and service requests in a timely and efficient manner.
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- 6+ years of experience in a similar role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Well-developed problem solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, etc.) a plus.
- Working experience in application servers (Ex. Apache Tomcat, NGINX)
- General database knowledge and experience in database engines (MS-SQL, and PostgreSQL)
- Experience with OS Administration (Linux or Windows)
- Proficiency in programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript) - An Advantage
- Application support and Implementation experience in virtualized environments - An advantage
- Experience in Postman tool for API testing of some scenarios - An advantage
