Supports testactivities within Honeywell trough fabrication, repair, installation and testof parts and prototypes for specialized projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize his/her knowledge in Machining and assembly to fabricate parts, tools mechanisms and/or test devises for experimental purposes.
- Supports onsite installation of test devises.
- Work under supervision meeting Honeywell Quality standards and other regulations when applicable.
- Is responsible of follow all applicable safety regulations affecting his/her safety condition and those applicable to his/her peers and work environment.
- Under Manager and/or Process Engineer supervision, maintains proper communication with requesters.
YOU MUST HAVE
- Technical studies in machine tool operation, unfinished or in process college.
- From 10 to 15 years of experience as machinist, die and matrix fabrication, or tool fabrication.
- Excellent math skills including geometry and trigonometry.
- Proven experience in milling machine, lathe and grinding on conventional machines.
- Excellent practical and technical skills, Knowledge to read engineering drawings, specs and complete understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances.
- Knowledge of mechanical properties of materials such Aluminums, Low MED and High Carbon Steels, Cooper, Composites, Stainless Steels, Inconel and Titanium.
- Basic experience to fit and assemble parts to make, repair, or modify dies, jigs, fixtures and tools, using machine tools and hand tools.
- Design of fixtures or jigs to use as work aids in the fabrication of parts and products.
- Determine kind of tools and equipment needed to perform a job based on B/P.
