Function description
As a Naval Architect, you will be a key link between clients, sales, and the organization, focusing on the pre-contractual phase. You will work with cost estimators and other stakeholders to create designs for the sales department, ensuring all technical information is provided. Your role will involve hydrostatic and hydrodynamic calculations, creating construction drawings, and participating in discussions with shipping companies and subcontractors about ship capabilities. Additionally, you will generate input for cost estimation and develop new concepts to expand the vessel portfolio. Throughout the process, you will ensure compliance with legislation and engineering standards, helping close the pre-contract phase and laying the foundation for order realization.

Requirements
- A bachelor's or master's degree in Naval Architecture.
- Theoretical and practical knowledge of hydrostatics, stability, hydrodynamics, construction, and strength theory.
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in dredging, defence, or offshore vessels.
- Ability to work in Kinderdijk, The Netherlands.
- Proficiency in conceptual thinking.
- Experience with calculation and drawing software.
- Insight into the feasibility of customer requirements and the ability to transform this into concrete designs.
- Familiarity with national and international ship legislation and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
