Your role and responsibilities
As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through various projects. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB's operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities. The work model for the role is hybrid in New Berlin, Wisconsin. This role is contributing to the Finance and Site Activities at the New Berlin Drives HQ. You will be mainly accountable for: • Ad Hoc Financial Analyses: o Conduct in-depth financial analyses with a focus on cost reduction and operational efficiencies. o Identify areas for improvement and recommend actionable solutions. • Operational Reporting: o Create and maintain standard reports that enhance cost transparency across the shared site functions. o Collaborate with relevant teams to ensure accurate data collection and reporting. • Warehouse and Facilities Support: o Work closely with the Warehouse Manager and SCM team to resolve inbound receiving issues o Work with Operations Controller and warehouse manager to review and analyze warehouse costs and allocations o Work with facilities manager to understand the vendor support, and various costs for services and support at the site • Month-End Close Support: o Assist the finance team during the month-end close process by preparing and posting journal entries. • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as necessary. • Living ABB's core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues, and the business.

Qualifications for the role
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel but Power BI is a plus
- Familiarity with financial accounting principles
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact effectively at all levels within the organization
- Highly motivated and capable of handling multiple responsibilities
- Intern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
