Senior Analytical Modelling Consultant (Energy Storage)

Responsibilities

  • Work within the Energy Storage team, reporting to the Head of Energy Storage.
  • Deliver high-quality projects to ensure client satisfaction and excellence in deliverables.
  • Conduct analytical work alongside broader energy storage consultancy services, including:
  • Technical due diligence for lenders, investors, and vendors.
  • Managing and contributing to technical reviews of projects at various stages.
  • Overseeing energy storage construction projects from notice to proceed through commissioning.
  • Reviewing EPC contractor designs to ensure alignment with project requirements.
  • Providing on-site support during project commissioning.
  • Advising on procurement, contract negotiation, and employer's requirements.
  • Offering insights into market mechanisms and revenue streams.
  • Conducting feasibility studies for co-location and system sizing.
  • Analysing operational, testing, and commissioning data.
  • Lead proposal writing, business development, and company representation.
  • Manage project KPIs, budgets, and teams to ensure optimal delivery.
  • Mentor and train team members, contributing to their professional development.
  • Develop and expand energy storage products, leveraging R&D for a competitive edge.
  • Collaborate across business units and represent the company at industry events.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in energy storage.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a relevant field.
  • Proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and projects.
  • Strong understanding of renewable energy project lifecycles, with specific expertise in energy storage.
  • Knowledge of energy storage economics and financing mechanisms.
  • Technical expertise in market trends, technology, warranties, and key industry players.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and adaptability.

Additional Requirements

  • Based in London, Brighton, South Africa, or Germany.
  • Must have the right to live and work in the respective country.
  • Willingness to travel locally and internationally.
