The Advanced Power Systems Product line within the Business Line AA (Advanced Analog) is bringing to market new, innovative products that combine analog and mixed signal capability with embedded control for automotive body, radar, chassis and safety, powertrain and driver information systems.

Your responsibilities

As a Sr. Project Manager Automotive IC Development, you are responsible for:

1. Team Building:
  • lead cross-functional engineering team 20 FTE's (Analog, Digital, Test, Verification, Application etc).
  • inspire, encourage the team members to high level of motivation and commitment.
  • open problem discussion, effective issue resolution.
  • recognize team conflict, support, and coach team individuals, to maintain team focus and meet targets together.
  • lead regular process reviews with the project team to improve their project approach.

2. Project Execution:
  • meet customer expectations and commitments.
  • execution of Project Management according to the BL quality requirements, we also expect that the project manager challenge these requirements to improve business standards.
  • reports project progress and gate passing in the meetings.
  • ensure planned project activities are executed timely and efficiently to meet the production start and release schedule.
  • professional execution of risk management, use of tools as FMEA and Maturity Metrics
  • compliance to configuration management system with attention to managing change and controlling the project scope.

3. Interface to Stakeholders:
  • align with PL Program, Marketing and Product mgt to meet customer expectations. We also expect that he gives advice to senior management on how to execute the PL roadmap.
  • timely escalation of issues and risks to management and ownership to resolve issues.
  • ensure compliance to product policies and guidelines, quality targets and NXP General Quality Specifications.
  • maintain close co-operation with customers and suppliers during development project.

Your team

You will be part of a project management team with many years of experience in the IC Development area.

You will be leading an enthusiastic and highly skilled team formed from all disciplines needed to bring an IC into production. We take care of the full development cycle, from the system level definition to the production of our ICs in the fabs. Your Team is based across the world.

Your profile

To be successful in this role you have:
  • BSc or MSc degree of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Analog Mixed Signal.
  • Around 10+ years of relevant experience in directing IC projects in relevant technological areas (semi-conductor or electronics).
  • a more widen scope then just own projects and in that role being able to advice and challenge senior management in their business development.
  • The ability to perform in a high pressure surrounding and cope with a challenging timeframe to realize the requested products to Smart Power high demanding customers.
  • Experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams of technical professionals.
  • APS is looking for a more extravert person who can communicate with and advise senior management.
  • Proving relevant training accomplishments, Preferably PMI (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of Automotive IC Development Standards including functional safety (Preferred)

Furthermore, you have:
  • Strong interpersonal skills in international environment with strong customer focus.
  • High degree of autonomy and strong teamwork and motivation abilities.
  • Entrepreneurial drive, result driven and challenge-oriented (capability to select, focus on key product targets and to build momentum with counterparts).
  • Good communication skills in English language (Verbal and written)
