Posting Summary
Perform duties and responsibilities to maintain buildings HVAC systems and components including, but not limited to, heating, cooling, and plumbing as well as significant database management of equipment and its associated components. Assist HVAC technicians and plumbers as needed for repairs. Access information using appropriate desktop applications. Promote a safe work environment and aid in maintaining a high level of building cleanliness, maintenance and operations. May operate a University vehicle. Report to a Supervisor and provide active engagement in learning and practicing principles of social justice and inclusion, environmental sustainability and delivering great customer service experience.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
High school diploma and three years' experience in building maintenance field to include building components such as heating, cooling, exhaust systems, plumbing systems, steam systems, and carpentry required. Experience performing inspections and basic troubleshooting required. Experience using computers and mobile technology required. Ability to use spreadsheets required. Valid driver's license or ability to obtain and driver's check required. Specific physical requirements may apply based on job functions. Must wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment ( PPE ) when performing specific job functions. Initial employment contingent upon successful completion of background check.

Anticipated Pay Range
$24.00-$26.00/hour

Bargaining Unit Position - United Electrical Workers, Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime), External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees, 40 hour work week, A probationary period may be required, Background Check required for this position
