Join our team as an Electrical Engineer II and be a part of the engineering organization of a major company in the Oil and Gas field in the Corpus Christi, TX area. Work on a contract basis from 31-Mar-2025 to 31-Dec-2025 at a chemical plant in Gregory, TX.

Role Overview

• Provide technical support for base operations and serve as an expert liaison for the site.
• Troubleshoot and repair complex process unit/electrical problems.
• Identify and communicate vulnerabilities to responsible business teams.
• Support risk assessments and propose cost-effective solutions.
• Participate in incident investigations and root cause failure analysis.
• Develop maintenance worklists and participate in turnarounds and improvement teams.
• Design and specify industrial electrical equipment for new or replacement projects.
• Drive improvement in site electrical equipment health and reliability.
• Participate in external peer assists and represent site electrical concerns in broader initiatives.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering, transformers, and maintenance.
• Familiarity with electrical safety, design, testing standards, power system modeling, and protective relay coordination.
• Ability to work with a variety of personnel at different levels and communicate effectively.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for construction or repairs.
• Experience in chemical manufacturing and polymer production operations preferred.

Education & Experience

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering; Masters candidates will also be considered.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in petrochemical production/manufacturing facilities.
• Must have Work Authorization (Green Card or US Citizenship) to work in the US.
