This role is essential in ensuring that best-in-class design and engineering applications are strategically implemented, optimized, and scaled across our global business. We are seeking a Product Manager to help lead and evolve our Digital Engineering Solutions portfolio within the IT Design & Engineering Services team. This role is essential in ensuring that best-in-class design and engineering applications are strategically implemented, optimized, and scaled across our global business. You will work closely with business leaders, strategic vendors (Autodesk, Bentley), and IT partners to shape the future of engineering applications and Common Data Environment (CDE) technologies, drive innovation, and support engineering teams with the tools they need to deliver world-class projects.If you are passionate about technology, collaboration, and making a real impact, this role provides an exciting opportunity to shape digital engineering across our global business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to and shape the strategy for digital engineering applications, ensuring alignment with business needs and emerging technologies.
- Work closely with business leaders and vendors to ensure best-in-class solutions and scalable adoption.
- Support and develop a strong user community, guiding ProjectWise Business Admins and fostering best practices.
- Develop and maintain product roadmaps, ensuring the adoption of cutting-edge solutions that enhance productivity and collaboration.
- Partner with strategic software vendors (e.g., Autodesk, Bentley) to influence product roadmaps and maximize enterprise success plans.
- Act as a trusted advisor to business units, providing expert guidance on technology investments, licensing, and cost optimization.
- Oversee product trials, launches, and proof-of-concept initiatives, ensuring solutions are business-ready and scalable.
- Collaborate across teams to identify future needs, ensuring solutions align with business goals and industry trends.
- Oversee the decommissioning of outdated applications, driving efficiency and cost-effectiveness whilst preserving the integrity of our network, data and digital assets.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, leveraging market intelligence and emerging technologies to future-proof our digital engineering ecosystem.
- Develop and support strategies for Common Data Environment (CDE) including but not limited to ProjectWise and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Strong track record in managing Common Data Environment (CDE) solutions within an engineering, infrastructure, or construction environment.
- Experience working with industry standards including ISO19650.
- Advanced ProjectWise administration expertise, including automation and scripting (PowerShell experience is a plus).
- Experience working with design/CAD tools (primarily Bentley Systems toolset) in the AEC sector.
- Ability to engage and collaborate across disciplines, from technical teams to business leaders.
- Data-driven mindset, with the ability to analyse trends and make informed decisions (Power BI experience is a plus).
- Knowledge of product management methodologies and experience in scaling commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solutions.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with cloud-based engineering solutions and emerging digital twin technologies.
- Familiarity with AI/automation for engineering workflows.
- Certifications in ProjectWise Administration, Product Management or IT Governance.
