Wood is recruiting for an experienced Materials Coordinator to join our team in Equatorial Guinea.
The Materials Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation, management, and optimization of materials . This position demands a high level of organization, precision, and proactive problem-solving to meet business needs efficiently.
The ideal candidate will have experience in logistics, inventory management, and warehouse operations, with a commitment to safety, accuracy, and collaboration.
Our preference is for National Equatorial Guinea personnel.
Location: Equatorial Guinea
Rotation / Work Pattern: Onshore 8-hour day / 6 day week, with offshore visits as and when required.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the management of materials associated with company operations, including receipt, storage, and logistics, applying business knowledge and best practices for reconciling and tracking equipment, materials, and supplies.
- Assist in coordinating equipment delivery, maintaining inventory levels at third-party locations, and ensuring inventory conditions meet company standards
- Maintain standards of health, safety, hygiene, and security, actively participating in and leading safety reviews before starting warehouse operations
- Coordinate warehouse operations, including company and contract personnel, ensuring safety in all aspects of operations
- Direct activities of materials/equipment within the assigned area, including unloading and loading materials on and off trucks, arranging equipment in storage areas, and ensuring the safety of personnel and inventory
- Optimize warehouse flow for efficient material storage and perform physical inventories of materials in the warehouse
- Conduct materials requirement planning, analysis, and control activities to ensure business requirements are met consistently
- Plan and execute the transfer of materials, completing appropriate materials movement authorization forms, and coordinate transfers within the business unit, documenting within the ERP system
- Assess material conditions, noting any damages or repair requirements, and coordinate receipt and delivery of materials
- Oversee and perform various types of facility maintenance, including inventory rotation and general housekeeping
- Collaborate with the Supply Chain team for facility maintenance, receipts, locations, descriptors, and system inputs, communicating delivery and shipment status to the Business Unit and Supply Chain
- Coordinate physical inventory counts for warehouse stock materials, ensuring inventory accuracy and resolving discrepancies promptly
- Research and reconcile inventory discrepancies to maintain accurate inventory records, adhering to standard operating accounting practices
- Identify opportunities to optimize inventory levels, storage, and expired materials to improve operational efficiency
- Coordinate the preparation of Quick Reference Guides for any new applications/software implemented
QUALIFICATIONS

Essential requirements for role:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Several years of experience in materials coordination, logistics, inventory management and warehouse operations
- Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and inventory management software.
Desirable:
- Communicate effectively in English orally and written
- Strong analytical skills, with experience in inventory planning and discrepancy resolution
- Knowledge of safety standards, warehouse operations, and materials handling best practices
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
