Job Description Summary

At Avio Aero, a GE Aerospace company, we've been reimagining the power of flight for more than 100 years. We are specialized in the design, production and maintenance of components and systems for both the civil and military aviation.

As NPI Intern you will be based in our Rivalta Plant and you will be part of our New Product Industrialization (NPI) team. You will support the Senior NPI Industrial Leader with the coordination of all the industrial activities related to NPI for a new helicopter program. You will support the company into matching the program milestones, reaching the Production Readiness and the Manufacturing Target Cost.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities
  • Support the alignment projects plan in the appropriate systems and report all the main updates
  • Collaborate in the management of the program: provide interim reports to the customer, modify plan as required
  • Support the Global Supply Chain and the involved plants in the execution of the activities required by the development plan
  • Partecipate in communication activities with the Customer and/or program manager to ensure the product quality is delivered
  • Work with the team in order to ensure development, implementation and maintenance of technical operating plans
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve the Production Readiness
  • Bring new ideas and positive support to the current processes


Qualifications / Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Aeronautical, Aerospace, Mechanical or similar field
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications
  • Interest in NPI and production environment
  • Fluent Italian and English
  • Willingness to learn from others
  • Knowledge of MS Office applications, especially Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required


Desired Characteristics
  • Ability to manage priorities and achieve results, analytic mindset
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Manufacturing processes
  • Six Sigma training
