As a Software Engineer II here at Honeywell, you will be accountable for developing and maintaining software applications for the Corporate Strategic Business Group. You will work on designing, coding, testing, and debugging software solutions to meet the business requirements. Your role will be critical in ensuring the smooth operation and functionality of software applications that facilitate the overall operations and strategy of the company.
You will report directly to our Software Engineering Manager and you'll work out of our Hamilton, NJ location on a hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the efficiency and effectiveness of Honeywell's corporate functions and operations by developing high-quality software solutions. You will work with cross-functional teams to comprehend business needs and translate them into technical requirements. Your work will contribute to the success of Honeywell's overall business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code
• Conduct unit testing and debugging of software applications
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
• Stay up-to-date with the latest software development trends and technologies

YOU MUST HAVE
• 2+ years Java development
• 1+ years AWS experience

• MySQL and NoSQL (i.e. DynamoDB, Mongo)

• Effective communicator
