Job Summary.
To assist the Buyer in the acquisition of goods and services required to assure on-time deliveries and customer satisfaction. Primary objective is to support the department to identify and obtain best value for products and services. In accomplishing this, the Buyer will support to evaluate, and determine the best suppliers, value and delivery for those products and services.

Job Summary.
To assist the Buyer in the acquisition of goods and services required to assure on-time deliveries and customer satisfaction. Primary objective is to support the department to identify and obtain best value for products and services. In accomplishing this, the Buyer will support to evaluate, and determine the best suppliers, value and delivery for those products and services.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To assist the purchase department to obtain best product and services for finest quality and price.
- Perform clerical duties, including data entries, printing, distributing and compilation of Purchase department documents.
- Responsible for creating purchase orders and reporting in ERP system.
- Compare deliveries with specifications indicated on Purchase Orders or Contract documents and communicate with vendor, as needed.
- Order and receive maintenance material/tooling and manufacturing supplies as per the requisition.
- Collate purchase orders and purchase requisitions in order to order materials, goods and supplies.
- Ensure purchase orders and invoices are processed accurately and efficiently. Mark special instructions on purchase orders as needed.
- Assist to track and maintain proper levels of stocked inventory and re-order when necessary
- Liaison with other departments, particularly accounting, manufacturing and inventory control.
- Interact with the suppliers on a day to day basis. Resolve supplier problems and discrepancies.
- Review deliveries against the orders.
- Return damaged, rejected or warranty repair goods.
- Maintain Purchase order log and interaction for priorities.
- Deal with non-supplied, under orders, over orders and damaged goods.
- Ensure that any invoices are sent to accounts for payment.
- Assist Buyer to evaluate and re-evaluate supplier on periodic basis.
- Assist Buyer to set approved vendor in the system.
- In conjunction with the Finance Controller undertakes the physical inventories if required.
- Refer to internal Purchasing Procedures and approved vendor list.
- Refer to Inspection and Testing Procedure including sections: Receiving Inspection.
- Involve & perform Internal Audits as per ISO 9001:2015 & API Q1 requirements.
- Utilize recommended safe work habits and make use of all safety equipment provided.
- Assist with O.J.T. (On Job Training) employees as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/SKILL-SET REQUIRED:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business or Supply Chain discipline
- Candidate should have around 2 years of related experience in Purchasing and/or Logistics activities.
- Thorough understanding of manufacturing planning involving low volume high variation in heavy industry Familiarity with ERP systems
- Good understanding of Supply Chain Management, purchasing, supplier selection, inventory control, logistics, stockroom operations, and shipping/receiving.
- Familiar with MRP operations Quality Assurance
- Ability to produce, read and interpret production reports
- Computer literacy (including good command of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to create and track individual and metrics
- Driving license
