PRIMARY PURPOSE: Responsible for the accurate and timely execution of pre-designed graphics and animations using the Ross Xpression character generation software, ensuring seamless integration with the in-game production. Utilize and update existing templates based on provided scripts or prescribed information to display content that enhances the overall fan experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

  • Operate XPression character generation software to display pre-designed graphics, animations, and text overlays during live game productions.
  • Prepare and organize graphics packages according to game scripts and production cues.
  • Ensure accurate and timely execution of all graphics elements, including player information, game statistics, promotional messages, and other on-screen content.
  • Update and maintain existing XPression templates with the latest information, including player stats, rosters, and sponsor logos, based on provided scripts and data feeds.
  • Monitor the broadcast and in-stadium displays to ensure consistent and error-free graphics presentation.
  • Collaborate closely with the scoreboard team, including directors, producers, and other operators, to coordinate graphics execution and ensure smooth transitions.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to the character generator system and escalate problems as needed.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of XPression software and hardware, staying up-to-date on new features and updates.
  • Adhere to team and league standards for on-screen graphics presentation and branding.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous experience running character generation machines in a live-event scenario
  • Demonstrated background related to graphics design and live event production
  • Must have a working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to find solutions to technical and/or other practical problems that may occur
  • Ability to take direction and work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Must have knowledge (or ability to learn quickly) of baseball rules and understanding of baseball scoring
  • Knowledge of popular culture and trending topics
  • Desire to work in a collaborative innovative atmosphere

  • Represents the Cleveland Guardians in a positive fashion to all business partners and the general public.
  • Ability to develop and maintain successful working relationships with members of the Front Office.

  • Ability to walk, sit or stand for an entire shift.
  • Ability to work extended days and hours, including holidays and weekends.
  • Ability to move throughout all areas and levels of the Ballpark.
  • Ability to work in a diverse and changing environment.
  • Occasional physical activity such as lifting and carrying boxes up to 55 lbs.
