Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for generating accurate and comprehensive take-offs and bills of materials for a wide variety of projects, including commercial site developments, highway construction, water and sewer systems, and planning initiatives. Using PlanSwift software, you will ensure all necessary materials, quantities, and specifications are carefully documented to support the seamless execution of each project.

This role offers a balanced mix of structured guidance and autonomy, allowing you to collaborate closely with experienced colleagues while taking full ownership of your tasks. As a key contributor to the project team, your work will streamline project planning and ensure all resources are efficiently accounted for. Key Responsibilities

• Review and interpret construction plans, specifications, and addendums to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Conduct detailed take-offs and prepare accurate bills of materials for company sales teams to quote to customers.
• Develop a deep understanding of the full range of products distributed by LB Water.
• Collaborate with vendors and engineers to clarify any discrepancies or gaps during the bidding process.
• Provide project-specific support to the Inside and Outside Sales teams, addressing queries between customers, owners, and engineers.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned, ensuring the timely and successful completion of projects.

Required Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Strong computer skills with the ability and willingness to quickly learn new software (PlanSwift experience is a plus).
• Exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• A proactive, self-motivated mindset with a positive, adaptable attitude.
• Ability to remain calm and effectively reprioritize tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in construction, estimating, or project management.

Salary Range

The estimated salary for this position ranges from $65,000 to $85,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
