We are looking for a Maintenance Technician er to join the Gemini service team. Gemini wind farm is one of the largest offshore wind farms in Europe with 150 Siemens turbines SWT4.0-130 (4MW). Operations is guaranteed with a Service Operations Vessel and Crew Transfer Vessel (CTV)

What are the key responsibilities associated with the job?

As Maintenance Technician you will perform technical, mainly pre-defined tasks for accomplishing defined service delivery work for customer equipment.

You will set objectives and deliver agreed results, explain facts, practices, etc. to others. Check for and identify problems to update or modify existing working methods. Ensuring the Zero Harm policy. Of course you keep records, maintain documentation, follow safety procedures and report technical, safety issues and difficulties to the relevant individuals on site/back office. You work in a two week rotation on the Service Operating Vessel (SOV), performing shifts of 12 hours per day. Crew changes on Wednesdays in the port of Eemshaven, the Netherlands.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

  • MBO4(+) Technical/mechanical, or equivalent mechanical/technical experience;
  • Technical & conversational English - Advanced;
  • Understanding of IT - Advanced;
  • Understanding of all turbine components and systems - Basic;
  • 2-3 years Mechanical/technical maintenance experience;
  • Safety and compliance mindset, initiative, proactive, ownership, team player, open to change, result-quality-customer oriented, analytical, eager to learn and share knowledge, SGRE Values.
