This position reports to
Sales Support Manager
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to create and complete bids, estimations, and quotations based on customer specifications, requirements, or budget to achieve market competitiveness and high margins for the company. Each day, you will maintain and improve the balance between all ABB units and customers in your area of responsibility. You will also showcase your expertise by collecting and collating the information required to prepare proposals, including both technical and cost elements. The work model for the role is: Hybrid #LI-Hybrid This role is contributing to the Global Solution Centre based in Singapore part of Electrification Distribution Solutions Business Division and accountable for preparing quotations for complex projects in the APAC region You will be mainly accountable for: • Review complex Tender specifications/drawings and propose the best available product mix and ensure is technically compliant and competitive • Responsible for end-to-end management of bids including the Pre tender support to influence ABB products, analyze project requirements, clarifying during tender phase, coordinating with factories/suppliers and propose appropriate product offering, supplier negotiations, contract review, cost management, Pricing strategy, Risk assessment and Mitigation. • Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Project management, Finance, Contract management, Legal, Taxation, Logistics, suppliers and lead the tender process • Prepare for Tender Risk review including Project baground, Financial summary, Risk & opportunity analysis, Cashflow. Initiate tender approval flow and obtain approvals as per the approval matrix. • Creating well-documented tenders in a timely manner and with an appropriate level of detail as requested in the RFQ • Prepare response to Post Tender clarifications/ attend Tender interview to close out any open points • Review the draft contract incase available to ensure it is in line with our bid submission • Prepare and lead project handing over to execution team and highlight the critical actions need to be considered during execution phase

Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in bid/Proposals for Data center, Oil & Gas, Utilities and Renewables market segments
- Knowledge on UPS, E-houses, Switchgear (MV/LV), Transformers and familiar with IEC standards
- Ability to be customer facing with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a group, team oriented, self-motivated, willing to work under pressure, positive attitude, well organized and results driven
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
