The Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Information & Data Manager to join their team in Amsterdam. This role is responsible for managing the design and implementation of information systems and digital solutions across various projects, from initial consulting to project delivery and asset operation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital transformation, data management, and AI, along with a proven ability to lead digitalisation projects within the energy or engineering sectors.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement an Information Systems Architecture that supports project delivery and asset operation.
• Manage the transition from interim solutions to a fully-functioning in-house ERP system.
• Build internal confidence and capabilities regarding information systems and ensure compliance across the organization.
• Lead the development and implementation of digital solutions, including AI and data stewardship strategies.
• Foster a data-driven culture across the company, promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Analyze AI and digitalisation opportunities, prioritizing projects based on feasibility and impact.
• Lead digitalisation and AI projects, ensuring successful execution within scope, budget, and timeline.
• Oversee the optimal operation of digital solutions and work with third-party vendors to develop a comprehensive digital twin platform.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in AI technologies and industry trends, incorporating them into the client's digital strategy.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience implementing engineering software, ERP systems, and digital/AI-based solutions, particularly in the energy or engineering sectors.
• Proven track record of running ERP systems in live phases to support major capital projects.
• Strong understanding of digitalisation and AI technologies, including machine learning, GenAI, and computer vision.
• Excellent project management skills with a history of leading complex digitalisation and AI projects.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to translate AI and digital concepts into actionable initiatives.
• Commitment to ethical digitalisation practices, focusing on transparency, fairness, and accountability.

Preferred:

• Experience with platforms like Oracle, SAP, Microsoft, Hexagon, AVEVA, IBM, and AspenTech.
• Expertise in integrating ERP and engineering platform solutions and deploying APIs for analytics.
• Familiarity with agile development practices, lean portfolio management, and system integration.
