Wood Process & Energy is looking for a Senior Estimator on a full time basis on a Fixed Term, PAYE or PSC contract for 12 months. This role is based at our clients offices in Northop, England

Our current portfolio includes green hydrogen and fuel switching, as well as supporting local clients with energy transition. We have a number of clients who we are working with to design their pilot plants to test exciting new technologies, with a view to partnering with them as they move to design and build full scale commercial facilities.

The role
To produce investment cost estimates for offshore/onshore development projects during the various project phases and as input into the project plan and budget
To ensure accuracy of cost structures and cost estimates
To validate estimates produced by Contractors or Third parties
To gather and consolidate contribution from Professional Areas, ensuring cost completeness for project economic evaluation
Ensure selection/development/update of appropriate methods and tools for the execution/validation of cost estimates
To feed and update databases and to perform cross project analysis

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Preparing cost estimate breakdown structures
- Producing the best estimate allowed from the available information
- Reviewing contractors or third parties cost estimates
- Participating/validating cost risk analysis
- Preparing the project cost estimate supporting documentation
- Supplying the necessary information to maintain updated the cost estimate database
- Development and update of procedures and tools
- Participating in cross project analysis
- Transferring experience within the team

Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
- Technical Diploma
- Engineering Degree preferred
- Oil & Gas Industry experience, onshore and/or offshore
- Cost estimating experience
- Development Project Cost Estimation (CAPEX, OPEX, DECOMMISSIONING)
- Cost Estimation Benchmarking
- Create WBS (Work Breakdown Structure)
- ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning System): SISTIP effective use and implementation
- Project Closing Process: Historical and Lessons Learned information's collection and dissemination
- Specialist software training (Primavera basic & advanced, Que$tor, Palisade @risk, Microsoft Project)
