Role Overview

The Physical Security Specialist is a key member of the GE Aerospace Global Security Team. This on-site role will support and supervise the Security Management Systems (SMS) Team and assist with various physical security functions for both domestic and international sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Sr. Global Security Technology Director with special projects, initiatives, and other Global Security Functions.
• Manage daily activities of the SMS Team.
• Collaborate with site leaders, executive administrators, and other key stakeholders for physical security systems.
• Maintain accurate records and generate reports for leadership to ensure compliance with standards and policies.
• Possess exceptional working knowledge of all security systems, including access control and video surveillance systems.
• Provide guidance to Site Security Leaders at all GE Aerospace locations on system standards and optimizations to ensure efficient security operations.
• Create and maintain "best practice" documents for access control, CCTV, and intrusion systems.
• Provide customer service to internal Site Security Leaders and advocate for successful planning and implementation of security improvements.
• Collaborate and partner routinely with Regional Security Directors.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college OR a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of professional experience.
• 5 years of experience in Physical Security Systems (Access Control, Video Management Systems & Intrusion Detection Systems).

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated customer focus - evaluates decisions through the eyes of the customer; builds strong customer relationships and creates processes with customer viewpoint.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
• Primary Location: Evendale, OH US
• Background Check: All candidates will undergo a background check.
• Drug Screening: Pre-employment drug screening is required.
• Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform tasks related to security management and customer interactions.
• Work Environment: This role requires working in an industrial setting with exposure to various conditions.
