Roles and Responsibilities:

• Set-up and operate various types of machines to perform complex machining and finishing operations to remove excess metal from machined, forged, fabricated or cast airfoil shapes, platform, dovetail and /or fillet areas, etc. involving precision grinding, drilling milling, turning and hand finishing of turbine airfoil products to contour and drawing dimensions.
• Ability to perform various Flexible Operator (2) class duties.
• Work to close tolerances from verbal or written instructions, blueprints, sketches, or engineering drawings with or without the benefit of fixturing.
• Make adaptations to set ups that can be accomplished without major changes in tooling and document results.
• Instruct and train other employees.
• Perform preventative maintenance and other related duties.

Minimum Requirements:

• Successful candidate must have satisfactory completed two (2) years grinding, lathe or mill, plus (1) year on one or a combination of the following disciplines: Laser, EDM, Electro Stream, Practical knowledge of numerical control application.
• Knowledge of machine tool technology, ie Basic/Intermediate Machine Tool Operation, Blueprint Reading and Applied Machine Mathematics.
