As a Director of Contracts - Complex Projects, Defense & Space here at Honeywell, you will play a crucialrole supporting compliant growth in the Defense & Space business. You will define and implement negotiationstrategies required to close complex transactions and projects, ensuringadherence to legal and regulatory requirements, mitigating risks, andprotecting the company's interests. Youwill work with a team of contracts professionals to design optimalorganizational structures and implement practical contracting policies andprocedures. You will collaborate withcross-functional teams to perform diligence as required to enable compliantbusiness growth - right and fast.

You will report directly to our Vice Presidentand General Counsel, Defense & Space and will work out of our Sky Harbor,Phoenix AZ & Clearwater, Florida location on a hybrid work schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the negotiation and management of complex contracts with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders
  • Monitor contract performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Lead compliance diligence to ensure adherence to contractual and regulatory requirements while enabling compliant growth, including mergers and acquisitions
  • Design, implement and integrate optimal organizational structures

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization

YOU MUST:

  • 8+ years of experience managing/negotiating contracts, including contracts subject to the Federal Acquisition
  • Regulation and its supplements
  • Strong knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation and supplements
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple complex transactions/projects and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Have an active security clearance or the ability to obtain one
