JOB DESCRIPTION

NOV is looking to hire an Engineering Drafter to support Product Engineering in new product development and sustaining existing Artificial lift products. The drafter will create detailed designs and drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software. This role involves working closely with engineers, and project managers to translate specifications and ideas into precise plans and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Utilization of CAD software
• Create technical drawings from rough sketches and specifications
• Specify dimensions, materials, and GD&T for new products & Sustaining
• Generate Sub-Component and assembly drawings as well as BOM's
• Update technical drawings when changes are made to the system
• Verify that drawings meet required specifications
• Work within Engineering Repository for managing change to documents
• Keep detailed records of all drawings, revisions and project documentation

Work environment

• Work under the supervision of engineers
• Be able to Work individually or within a Team

Skills

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions
• Ability to manage one's own time and prioritize work
• Sketching skills

Work Experience / Education

• Experience with CAD software (such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks or Inventor) and a strong portfolio of completed projects
• Associates degree in drafting, engineering technology, or a related field. a Bachelors degree may be preferred for more advance positions.
• Excellent attention to detail, strong mathematical skills and the ability to interpret complex instructions and specifications
• Good verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with team members
• 3-5+ years experience in Drafting
• 3-5+ Years experience in Oil and Gas or Artificial lift Products
