Wood is recruiting for an Offshore Cabin Steward to join the team in Equatorial Guinea.

Working directly under the Camp-Boss the Cabin Steward is responsible for all housekeeping services and assisting with a wide range of stewarding duties.

Please note this position is only to National Equatorial Guinea personnel.

Location: offshore Equatorial Guinea

Rotation / Work Pattern: 4 weeks on / 4 weeks off, 7-day week / 12 hour day

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reporting directly to the Camp-Boss and adhering to the working instructions and routines set by them
  • Report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform at all times
  • Undertaking cleaning to the highest standard strictly in accordance with the safety policy instructions set by the Company and the Camp-Boss
  • Cleaning the cabins and public areas i.e.: bathrooms and walk-ways etc, according to the instruction
  • Prior to person's embarkation clean the cabins and corridors in such a way that no trace will appear of the previous occupants
  • Empty cabins must always be tidied, cleaned and in order.
  • Reporting complaints immediately to Senior personnel.
  • Ensure lost and found items are recorded and passed to the Camp-Boss
  • Care should be taken when handling Company equipment and working material.
  • Take part in linen handling and looking after inventories directed by the Camp-Boss
  • Participates in the evaluation process and complies with all safety applicable program, as well as accommodation improvement plan developed by the Camp-Boss.
  • Must attend and participate in general staff meetings and other meetings (Toolbox talks) and assists in events planned by the Camp-Boss
  • Participates in all emergency drills and safety activities and any safety or work-related training sessions called by the Camp-Boss.
  • Understand and strictly adhere to the Offshore Rules & Regulations


QUALIFICATIONS

Essential requirements for role:
  • Several years experience working in similar capacity preferably in a multinational hotel or large company site compound or facility
  • BOSIET & MIST certification
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Desirable:
  • Communicate effectively in English orally and written
