This Position reports to:
HUB Finance Manager

Your role and responsibilities

Serving as a strategic business partner for the Local Division Manager of Process Automation Energy Industries in Spain. You will be a crucial member of management team. You will help to set and execute the business strategy in line with wider divisional, regional and functional strategies.

In this role you will report to Central South Europe Hub Finance Manager and act as the financial business partner to the Division Manager in Spain. You spar on a regular basis with different stakeholders to improve business processes, grow the business and make the right strategic choices. Project Controlling and Risk management are vital parts of this strategic decision making.

In this role you will provide key support to the business, ensuring accurate tracking and processing of all transactions. You will translate business strategy into plans and establish measurable targets, evaluate the financial implications of various strategic decisions, identify risks and recommend actions.

You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Overseeing the business planning and forecasting process for Energy Indus-tries in the Spain and serving as the finance interface with the region, the country organization and other financial stakeholders.
  • Establishing cost structures, productivity optimization and capital efficiency while closely monitoring cash flow and taking relevant actions to improve net working capital.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal guidelines/procedures and external regulatory requirements.
  • Performing high quality financial analysis, reporting to business managers and making suggestions to improve performance, where appropriate.
  • Overseeing monthly closing with special attention to high quality data reported.
  • Establishing and overseeing processes and tools to obtain transparent and reliable financial data and business information.
  • Ensuring timely and efficient communication with relevant Controllers, the Accounting Center and others to identify and discuss issues, and suggest improvements.
  • Actively participate in project review meetings to secure proper financial re-porting and management of the risks.
  • Support the management team with financial information/tools with regard to the design and execution of the strategic plan.


Qualifications for the role

  • You have a relevant Bachelor or Master degree.
  • You have several years of experience as a business controller, preferably in a technology solution business.
  • You have a thorough knowledge of business processes and their (numerical) coherence and of planning & control.
  • You understand and have feeling for the business and the customer, you can manage by agreement and you are decisive.
  • You have a critical, tenacious and proactive attitude and possess good social, communication and advisory skills.
  • You have command knowledge of SAP or other ERPs and you are savvy in Microsoft tools.
  • You are at ease communicating in Spanish and English.
