This position reports to

Communications Lead, Finance & Accounting Operations (FAO)

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop communications plans, policies, standards, materials, and content in your specific area of expertise to increase the brand awareness and reputation of ABB, globally, among the internal and external stakeholders. Each day, you will provide leadership and best practices in your specific area of expertise. You will also showcase your expertise by helping to define corporate communications framework and supporting its implementation across the organization. The work model for the role is: hybrid #LI-Hybrid This role is contributing to the Electrification, BA Function Finance Comm on Services and is based in Krakow. You will be mainly accountable for: • Building a strong internal communications network across FAO and collaborating closely with HR, IS, HSE, and other key departments to ensure consistency in messaging and alignment with organizational objectives. • Ensuring executional excellence in all internal communication initiatives, maintaining brand integrity and adherence to corporate identity and design guidelines. • Developing and implementing strategic communication plans that effectively support FAO's mission, ensuring clear and engaging messaging across all internal platforms. • Creating high-quality multimedia content for various internal channels, including newsletters, intranet, emails, and presentations, to enhance employee engagement and information flow. • Driving employee engagement initiatives, such as town halls, staff events, and recognition programs, fostering a motivated and connected workforce. • Supporting change management efforts by crafting and executing communication strategies that facilitate smooth organizational transitions and minimize disruptions. • Managing internal crisis communication strategies, ensuring timely and transparent dissemination of critical information to employees. • Measuring and analyzing communication effectiveness, providing data-driven insights and recommendations for continuous improvement in internal communication strategies.

Qualifications for the role

  • You are highly skilled in internal communications and proficient in utilizing communication tools and platforms such as intranet content management systems, PowerPoint, and Apsis. Your expertise extends to working within large organizations, including shared services environments.
  • You have 5+ years of experience in internal communications, demonstrating exceptional abilities in written and verbal communication. Your strong project management and organizational skills enable you to handle multiple initiatives effectively.
  • Possess advanced proficiency in video editing and filmmaking, which would be considered an advantage. You are highly adept at change management and crisis communication, making you a valuable asset in dynamic corporate environments.
  • You are passionate about collaboration and relationship-building, thriving in cross-functional teams across all organizational levels. Your creative thinking and problem-solving skills allow you to develop innovative communication strategies.
  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field, showcasing a strong academic foundation in the field.
  • You are at ease communicating in a professional and engaging manner, demonstrating adaptability in fast-paced environments, empathy for employee concerns, and a proactive approach to initiating and driving impactful communication strategies.
