Due to our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to support our Offshore projects across the globe, the position is to be based in one of our European offices either Fredericia (Denmark), Duiven (Netherlands) or Lowestoft / Hull (UK).

Responsibilities in this position include working with our Sales and Project teams to provide technical expertise, guidance and support for planning and commercial activities. Tasks involve supporting our Project Managers with the technical aspects of project delivery, and supporting our Sales Managers with the technical knowledge required in sales bids, manning plans and all technical aspects of project execution to be considered relating to contractual agreements to our clients. The Technical Project Manager will also work with a continuous improvement mindset applied to a technical environment.

It is critical that you maintain a presence at the project site and have a proactive and solution-oriented attitude to our projects and begin each day with a focus on safety. As part of the role, you should expect up to 75-100 days of travel per year.

  • Supporting Sales:
    • Drive technical assessments as part of tendering phases.
    • Link findings from project life cycle back into tendering activities.
    • Act as the technical interface between internal and external key stakeholders.
    • Report progress on technical issues to key stakeholders.
  • Supporting Projects:
    • Work closely with the project and site teams daily to ensure smooth project execution.
    • Ensure all technical aspects of the project are delivered in accordance with required safety and quality standards.
    • Identify, drive, and resolve all technical issues throughout the project life cycle.
    • Manage technical aspects in close cooperation with the Project Manager and Site Manager.
    • Ensure understanding of the technical scope within the project team.
    • Coordinate technical deliverables and provide support throughout all stages of the projects.
    • Drive a continuous improvement culture within both the project and site teams.
    • Proactively improve the project by avoiding, minimizing, or eliminating technical interface issues.
    • Ensure the project meets high HSE and quality requirements.
    • Identify and manage technical risks and dependencies.
    • Implement lessons learned and latest knowledge from operational projects.
    • Manage technical documentation.
    • Drive continuous improvements from a technical and competence perspective.

To apply you need to be able to demonstrate the following skills, experience and willingness:

Qualifications
    • Have a bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial, or process engineering.
    • Possess a solid understanding of composite structures and their manufacturing and/or repair processes, preferably wind turbine blades.
    • Profund understanding of industrial machinery / rotating equipment mechanically and electronically, preferably within the wind industry
    • Demonstrated a track record of leading research and development projects.
    • Have excellent communication skills and can communicate your results in a clear and convincing manner.
    • Apply a structured approach to your work and can handle simultaneous assignments without losing the overview.
    • Show a flair for quickly learning and mastering documentation digitalization tools, with exceptional acumen in applying them effectively.
    • fluent in English, both verbal and written.
    • Commit to traveling 30-60 days a year.
