This position reports to

Project Finance Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support in all financial and commercial matters related to the project. Each day, you will actively drive their respective project's performance. You will also showcase your expertise by preparing project invoices and financial accounting and reporting (including project site accounting) documents. The work model for the role is: Hybrid This role is contributing to the Energy Industries in Longmeadow. You will be mainly accountable for: • Preparing project invoices and financial accounting and reporting (including project site ac-counting) documents. • Driving revenues and project cash flow in their assigned project and seeks for optimization. • Responsible for the accuracy of project balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow and monthly/quarterly forecasts. • Overseeing currency risk in project cash flow and implements/suggests appropriate mitigation measures. • Supporting the Project Manager in coordinating and preparing project reviews, cost reports, claim management, back-charges, and insurance cases. • Supporting the project team in identifying risks and opportunities, and in ensuring adherence to ABB's corporate governance, assurance, internal controls, and business specific finance directives and instructions. • Supporting the project team and Tender Manager in all financial and commercial aspects of the tender process. • Implementing and ensures compliance with the ABB code of conduct, global and local standards, tools, policies, and processes in their assigned area. • Ensuring integrity and compliance with ABB values and ethics in all activities. • Leading their development journey by seeking knowledge and learning opportunities within the team. • Managing relationships with stakeholders in their area of responsibility and ensures alignment.

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor of Commerce Accounting
  • Must have 2+ years of experience in a related role
  • Possess an enhanced knowledge of SAP
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with other Microsoft Office products
  • Outstanding attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to multitask
  • Result oriented, self-motivated, and analytical mindset
  • Experience with problem solving and critical thinking
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Experience working effectively in a team environment, collaborating with colleagues across different functions to achieve common goals.
  • Knowledge of Balance sheet reconciliation and analysis
  • Income statement and profitability knowledge
  • Knowledge on Project, s, Project review financial packs
  • Needs to adapt to ad hoc tasks, changes, and requirements
  • Preference will be given to previously disadvantaged candidates in line with the company's employment equity targets
