JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood (trading locally as WOOD KSS LLP) is currently recruiting for a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry to join our team in Atyrau/Almaty/Astana, Kazakhstan (for KZ passport holders).

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Applies Safety in Design Requirements as per client`s company and Kazakh Standards and codes/ Eurocodes
• Performs computer aided and manual calculations for steel and concrete structures as well as concrete foundations
• Prepares Calculation Reports including steel connection design and concrete reinforcement design as per Kazakh codes and standards
• Provides designers with sketches and guides them through detailing of structures
• Checks Material Take-offs (MTO) prepared by designers

QUALIFICATIONS

• Engineering degree in related field
• Proficient user of relevant software and calculation templates
• Work experience in the respective position no less than 5-7 years
• Experience in developing design documentation in accordance with RoK regulatory documents
• Experience on projects within EPC contract (Engineering, Supply and Construction)
