We have anopportunity for a Hardware Engineer to join us at Honeywell, in Brno. Thisposition provides an exciting opportunity to advance your career within one ofthe Honeywell's most dynamic COEs. You will be executing redesign projects thatfocuses on cost reduction of existing mass volume products across all HoneywellBuilding Management Systems portfolio through Hardware Design follow-ups andsupport to ensure all the proposal are accurately implemented in collaborationwith Global Engineering team. Products involve controllers, control panels, valvesand actuators, peripherals, and the component parts for each of these products.You will also be responsible to identify product cost savings opportunitiesthrough vendor change of used electronic & mechanical components aswell through electronic circuit design & mechanical system design changes.Implement the change in the mass production factory with the ability to multitaskbetween engineering and non-engineering activities, also identify savingsopportunities through inventory reuse, yield improvements,insourcing/outsourcing etc. Good communication and negotiation skills arerequired daily in connection with enablers involved in these projects - Designteams, ISC, offering, Manufacturing site, Suppliers etc.
This is a hybridrole, 3 days at the office + 2 days' work from home model.

Key responsibilities
- Value Engineering & Component engineering projects and their implementation through collaborative effort with Engineering, sourcing, and offering teams.
- Review current electronic board design considering the current technologies in terms of component, materials & process, propose ideations to reduce BoM cost by redesign & optimization.
- Work on electronic circuits and propose the cost reduction opportunities.
- Driving Cost reduction Idea generation for existing products & perform or support feasibility review of new ideas assigned.
Key skills and qualifications
- University education in Electrical/Electronics Engineering
- 3-5 Years of professional experience in Value Engineering/Component Engineering, Hardware Design
- Knowledge in electrical, analogue, digital and power electronics engineering, hands-on experience in redesigning of small / medium hardware (Analog, Digital, Power Supplies, etc.) centric projects is an added advantage.
- Understanding of electronic components, their parameters and characteristics, knowledge of electronic circuits and subsystems, experience with conditional qualification testing
- Good understanding of the eCAD tools (like Siemens Mentor-graphics), full design Product Development Lifecycle
- Simulation tools, UL/EN/CE standards, statistical methods and tools, MS Office
- Very good written and spoken English, very good communication and negotiation skills, excellent influencing skills, work in the international team, ability of multitasking.
