P&K Stone, LLC offers high quality crushed stone, manufactured sand and recycled concrete. Our aggregate materials are used in a wide range of construction aggregate applications including infrastructure projects, commercial projects and residential projects.

The Role: Reporting directly to the Vice President of Operations, this position is based in Chico, TX but would include travel to the P&K Stone operations in Southern Oklahoma. This position is directly responsible for the management of a six-person overburden stripping crew and the stripping plans at all four P&K locations.

What You'll Do:

• Promote Safety- Take an active role prioritizing safety for yourself and others to ensure all assigned plants have zero accidents and are in total compliance with all P&K Stone policies, procedures and MSHA Regulations.
• Organize and Plan Production- Overseeing the daily productivity of the stripping crew to ensure efficient operations. You will work closely with the Site Plant Manager to ensure that the mine development plan is being executed according to plan.
• Employee Relations- Provide strong leadership, training, team building and supervision to all employees at our locations to support the operational function of the business. Work cross-functionally with HR to recruit new employees, provide merit increases, perform disciplinary actions, and evaluate the performance of employees to develop talent.
• Develop Key Performance Indicator Reports- Daily KPI Reports shall be reviewed to ensure that KPI targets are met. This includes optimization of Load and Cycle Times.

Experience Required:

• At least 5 years of experience managing earth moving in a high paced production setting.
• Must be able to provide strong leadership and mentorship to employees, both direct and indirect reports, to motivate and maintain interpersonal relationships.
• Operational Knowledge. Must demonstrate knowledge and understanding of moving material in mass quantities and developing stripping and mine plans.
• Interpersonal Skills. Must be an excellent motivator and team builder. Must be able to form strong social relationships and effectively communicate with both internal and external audiences.
• Must possess knowledge and experience leading financial performance to established targets, meeting or exceeding performance goals.
• Working Conditions. Role operates in a quarry environment. Candidate must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noise between 85dba - 105dba.
• Strong track record of leading safety and health, as well as regulatory compliance
• Understanding of Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Teams, Word, etc.)
• High school diploma or GED
