We are seeking a highly skilled Oversight Electrical Engineer to join our team for a 1-year contract in Calgary, AB. This is a full-time position with the opportunity to work on exciting projects in the power transmission and generation industry.

Role Overview

• Design and oversee the construction support of power transmission lines and substations.
  
• Manage high voltage systems and ensure their safe operation and maintenance.
  
• Collaborate with other engineers and technical teams to develop power generation and transmission solutions.
  
• Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  
• Provide technical expertise and leadership in troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues.
  
• Prepare and review technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
  
• Coordinate with regulatory bodies to obtain necessary approvals and permits.
  
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget.
  

Skills & Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (P.Eng) or Professional Technologist (P.Tech) certification in Canada.
  
• Over 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on power systems.
  
• Proven experience in the design and installation of power transmission lines, substations, and high voltage systems.
  
• Strong understanding of power generation and transmission principles.
  
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools.
  
• Experience with natural gas mainline compression, meter stations, and gas processing facilities is a plus.
  

Education & Experience

• Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
  
• Certifications: P.Eng or P.Tech certification in Canada.
  
• Experience: Minimum 10 years in electrical engineering, with a focus on power systems.
