Quality Control Specialist

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will support the deployment of the continuous improvement strategy for a local organizational unit, including promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Mentor and coach teams to achieve operational excellence and drive improved results. Deploy and lead projects to improve and sustain local business performance. The work model for the role is: #LI - Onsite This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Power Division in Senatobia, MS. You will be mainly accountable to: • Facilitate significant improvements with respect to safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and/or cost targets, meeting customer and stakeholder commitments in collaboration with local leadership. • Promote awareness and commitment regarding continuous improvement at local management level and promote and implements improvement programs and projects within their own area of responsibility, with a hands-on (Gemba) and problem-solving approach. • Provide training support by developing and maintaining training modules and toolkits aligned with business needs in collaboration with management at local level. Track programs, initiatives, projects, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to demonstrate progress and value, enabling decision-makers to allocate resources and recognize success. Drive/support systematic benchmarking of external processes and techniques, incorporating relevant learnings into local ABB practices. • Ensure the continuous improvement approach and strategy deployed at local ABB unit level is aligned with the global strategy. Promote a systematic fact-based approach to identify and evaluate opportunities for future improvement. Work towards disseminating a continuous improvement mindset and culture at all levels, activities, and functions to promote behavioral change for continuous performance improvement at local level.
