As part of Vestas Global Finance Shared Service Centre, the role is primarily responsible for providing standardized, rule-based services to the region. This refers to the end-to-end processes of Accounts Receivable. Senior Accountant works with the Team leader and/or Manager in monitoring and providing support in the overall A2R Analyst II function.

SSC > Finance SSC > Global Accounts Receivable and Cash Management

Responsibilities
  • Acts as SME and 1st level point of escalation for daily production issues and concerns
  • Responsible for consolidating and monitoring non-standard processes and the Accounts Receivable process not yet migrated to SSC
  • Participate/Coordinate the implementation of AR projects and optimization
  • Ensure timely billing creation and sending of invoices
  • Manage error resolution of the overall Accounts Receivable function
  • Engage and collaborate with Regional Finance, Cash Management, and other business stakeholders, to solve operational issues and problems with speed and quality
  • Escalate issues to the supervisor/manager that require intervention/clarification from senior leadership
  • Review and consolidate intercompany bi-monthly operational reports and monthly operational decks
  • Performs analytical review and validation to ensure 100% achievement of KPIs and PPIs for the entire AR function
  • Monitor the back-up system and update TL if there are some challenges with the back-up system
  • Review and finalize AR SOX documentations and ensure timely and complete upload/submission in SAP GRC
  • Investigates, communicates, and resolves issues identified for each control, if possible, ensure that it will not be a recurring issue. Escalates identified risks based on the controls performed
  • Provide internal and external audit support as requested
  • Monitor and ensure tasks are performed timely according to the AR task list
  • Ensure that SOPs are reviewed and updated quarterly
  • Provide support on the monthly accounting close process and critical business partner issues
  • Contribute to effective process improvement & standardization on a regular basis, with compliance on Vestas Global policy
  • Develop training materials in accordance with the AR curriculum and conduct (cross)trainings within the AR team and other functions


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or other business-related course
  • At least 4 years of experience in Accounts Receivable with SAP experience
  • Problem solving, decision making skills, and presentation skills
  • Good English communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Willing to work on hybrid set-up with a minimum of 10 days work on site
  • Flexible on working on holidays as needed and on any shift assigned
  • Organized and able to work with minimal supervision
  • With professionalism, and can blend well with different kinds of personalities

  • Capability to collaborate effectively with teams across various functions
  • Proficiency in Intercompany accounting processes and reconciliation procedures
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving strategies to identify and resolve complex issues
  • Advanced communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders effectively
