Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will be acting as a business partner to the relevant business manager, leading local finance teams to optimize the financial performance within an assigned division / business area. Each day, you will support effective business decisions by monitoring, analyzing, and interpreting financial data to evaluate various business alternatives. You will also showcase your expertise by recommending the most appropriate business solutions. The work model for the role is: Hybrid. #LI-Hybrid Onsite #LI- Onsite This role is contributing to the Process Automation Energy Industries based out in Malaysia. You will be mainly accountable for: • Contributing to define the strategy for the business unit, collaborating with business leaders to develop implementation and monitoring plans, and ensuring the effective translation of strategy into business plans with measurable targets. • Leading the business planning and forecasting process for the assigned area of responsibility, driving cross-functional initiatives that align with and support strategic goals. • Identifying issues, advise management on action plans and driving appropriate cost structure, product optimization, capital efficiency along with managing cash flows and acting to improve Net Working Capital. • Overseeing the definition and implementation of global standards and business-specific guidelines to enhance the financial control process, ensuring transparency in financial reporting and disclosures. • Assessing business risk exposure, develops risk mitigation strategies, and effectively communicates financial risks and opportunities arising from business propositions. • Establishing and driving processes and tools necessary to obtain transparent and reliable financial data and business information, ensuring the quality and alignment with established standards. • Ensuring compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and the ABB code of conduct, and is accountable for the health and safety of employees and contractors within the scope, while upholding integrity and ethics in all activities. • Promoting collaboration across teams within ABB, ensures effective organization, staffing, and skill development within the area of responsibility, and provides guidance, motivation, and development opportunities for both direct and indirect reports.

Qualifications for the role
- Any bachelor's/masters/CPA/CA degree or similar professional qualification is required.
- 10+ years of senior finance management position within a global corporation, demonstrating strong financial leadership and strategic oversight.
- Proven background in energy industry projects, solution services, and business operations, with a solid understanding of financial structures in these sectors.
- Experience managing multicultural and virtual teams across different time zones and cross-cultural communication skills with strong business-oriented mindset to support business development
- Should have ability to think long term and beyond the area of responsibility with Proven record of growth and execution in large business with multi product lines.
- Good verbal and written communication in English.
