We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Application/System Engineer to join our Building Management Systems (BMS) team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the development, implementation, integration, and support of BMS applications and systems, ensuring they meet customer requirements and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- System Design and Development:
- Design and develop comprehensive BMS solutions, including HVAC controls, lighting systems, energy management, and security systems.
- Collaborate with clients to gather requirements and scope projects, ensuring solutions align with their operational goals.
- Integration and Implementation:
- Oversee the integration of various BMS components and systems, ensuring compatibility and seamless operation.
- Lead the installation and configuration of BMS applications, performing testing and commissioning to ensure optimal performance.
- Technical Support:
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for BMS applications and systems, addressing client inquiries and resolving issues.
- Respond to technical queries via phone, email, or in-person, ensuring timely resolution.
- Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and network problems.
- Develop technical documentation, including system architectures, network diagrams, and user manuals.
- Project Management:
- Manage multiple projects concurrently, from initiation through to completion, adhering to project timelines and budgets.
- Coordinate with internal departments, contractors, and vendors to facilitate project execution.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on the latest BMS technology trends and industry best practices, ensuring solutions remain innovative and efficient.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements, providing recommendations to management.
- Training and Mentorship:
- Train system integrators and technical staff, fostering knowledge-sharing and skill development within the team.
- Create and update technical documentation, user manuals, and troubleshooting guides.
- Conduct workshops and training sessions for customers on system functionalities and best practices.
- Collaboration with Engineering Teams:
- Work closely with engineering and product development teams to communicate recurring issues and recommend product enhancements.
- Participate in the testing of NPIs, POC and software updates before deployment.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain records of service requests, resolutions, and follow-ups.
- Prepare reports outlining customer issues, trends, and resolutions for management review.
- Knowledge Management:
- Stay updated on the latest technologies, products, and industry trends relevant to BMS.
- Contribute to the company's knowledge base by sharing insights and solutions from completed support cases.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, fostering trust and rapport.
- Gather customer feedback regarding system performance and support services.
- Participate in project meetings to update stakeholders on technical issues and solutions.
Key skills and qualifications
- Engineering background, with min 8 years of experience in BMS and HVAC control (preferably experienced with Honeywell Brands Centraline, TREND, SBC, Alerton) with the ability to serve as a Subject Matter Expert in a specific technology, vertical, or technical solution. (Other BMS system expertise would also be advantageous)
- Ambitious, self-motivated, and results-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills, able to work autonomously and professionally with senior-level individuals.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong pre-sales management skills and thorough knowledge of the sales process.
- Technical expertise in BMS applications and HVAC, with strong presentation, project design, engineering and project management skills, with an ability to prepare technical white papers, architectures and "how-to" guides.
- In-depth knowledge of the Turkey construction market, with an ability to develop new relationships, and a passion for Energy, Sustainability and Smart Buildings.
- Familiarity with network systems, protocols, and integrations related to BMS (e.g., BACnet, Modbus, Mbus).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
