Wood is recruiting for a Senior Business Performance Manager join its Operations Americas business focusing on Finance Operations Americas BU. This opportunity reports to a Wood office based in the US, preferably in Houston, TX.

The Role

Wood is recruiting for a Senior Business Performance Manager to join its Operations Americas, to lead and support Business Performance activities, covering all aspects of Financial Data ownership and measurement. This key leadership role involves significant influence and decision-making responsibilities, working closely with the Leadership Team and various functions to drive growth, cost optimization, and ensure robust systems and internal controls. Responsibilities include risk management, reporting, forecasting, and leading the region's reporting team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • ERP / Project Controls strategy and systems development for the Region, closely working with other functions and Operations
  • Oversees CRM data and how this is used in the Finance function
  • Interface with Commercial teams on the pre- and post-award phases in terms of bids, rates, and relevant reporting and analysis
  • Development and leadership of the Reporting team
  • Ensure accurate, timely and robust financial reporting at Corporate, Service Line and Project levels
  • Maintenance of appropriate internal controls and governance within our systems and business landscape
  • Compliance oversight with relevant Group policies, standards and operating procedures
  • Oversight over financial plans, budgets and forecasts, delivered through the Reporting team and Service Line Finance Business Partners
  • Overall owner for the monthly performance and QBR cadence; leading the continuous improvement mindset to improve the conversations around business performance and correctly manage our underlying business performance drivers.
  • Lead the Management Reporting for the Americas based on inputs from Finance Business Partners, ensuring:
  • Robustness and integrity of reporting to enhance business understanding and operational decision-making.
  • Key business metrics such as Working Capital, DSO, Backlog, Project performance are accurately measured and reported

Expected:
  • Professionally qualified accountant
  • Minimum of 10 years relevant accounting experience
  • Strong experience of business partnering
  • Excellent track record in people management
  • Commercial experience
  • Previous experience of leading and developing a team
  • Good IT / Systems knowledge
  • Sound knowledge of Oil & Gas services business and accounting methodology

Desirable:
  • CPA or MBA preferred
